The first word of this site is heart. It was chosen as the first for a reason. Don’t you desire to live life with your heart – whole-heartedly? Fully. To the greatest extent possible.
Sure, that is certainly our wish if we truly think about it. There is a way this life can be lived to the fullest extent possible – as we could only dream. It all starts with our heart. Our heart has a problem, though, and that’s why life turns out “wrong.” That problem, simply put, is sin in our heart, in our life. We all have it; or should we say: have committed it. But life would be rotten if the story ended there. It does not. As of when I’m typing this, Easter is just around the corner. That would be a time where we see a big part of the story – the reminder of a man called Jesus, — Who was on a cross, suffered a lot, and then died. (Back to sad-sounding news again!) . . . But wait a minute! That was actually quite a climatic point for us! Remember that problem of sin in our life – Jesus’ death was in place of what we deserved. Jesus was on that cross and suffered a lot to take the punishment that our sin deserved. Wow! That is both sad and exciting! God says that “whosoever believes in Him . . . shall . . . have everlasting life.” (John 3:16) He also said I am come that . .. might have life and might have it more abundantly. Wow! I have found this so true! Several years ago, I told God that I believed what He did on the cross was for me – in my place; He died for my sin (all that awful, wicked stuff!). I didn’t want anything to do with sin anymore: I wanted all that life lived with God meant! I can tell you at that moment, my life changed! I felt so clean, so forgiven, so amazing!!! I had seen my sin as God saw it – awful! 🙁 – and I knew only He could forgive it. I encourage you – your life: how do you want it – do you really want to hang onto the awfullness of your sin? Don’t you want forgiveness of it? You know it can only be forgiven by God. Jesus did the work that needed to be done. Nothing further needs to be done by us except to accept what Jesus did. Have you ever asked Him to forgive your sins? Have you put your solid belief on what He did for you?
