Warning to anyone who has your settings in Windows 10 programmed so that they only update at a certain time –
A recent update from Windows reset these settings (Aahhggg!) so that the computer would update at a different time than you originally scheduled.
Here’s what happened:
Working hard on my computer . . . then let it sit idle for a bit . . .
Before I know it, I hear an odd beep, which shouldn’t be happening.
What just happened?
I come to find that Windows did another update, which meant that my open Word docs had to be re-saved, my internet browser pages had to be pulled from history, and my currently open work setup had to be re-setup. What a headache!
I dug deeper and realized that the last update I installed (at my chosen, convenient time) had completely re-configured my Windows update settings.
Yes, needless to say, I reverted my settings back to where I had set them previously ASAP.
However, I did not want anyone else to go through what I just went through!
